Yoga Teacher Training

- Flexible Weekend/Weekday Evening Format: This class will meet three intensive weekends beginning January 11th as well as every Thursday night from 5:30 PM – 9:00 PM starting the second week of January 2019 for 6 months. 4 Practice Classes per month are included in the price! Each student is required to practice with the lead trainer or teacher trainers regularly for contact hours. Assignments and feedback are given for the practice sessions.

Course Costs: The total fee for the 200 hour program is $2,350.00 and includes the main Asana book and a comprehensive 200 page Teachers Manual. Early bird discount of $100.00 if paid in full before the class starts.

- Lead Trainer: Sue (Greenwood) Nesler is an E-RYT 500 and has been taching in YTTs and leading therapeutic workshops and retreats around the world for 15 years. Robin Drury RYT 500 has been teaching in our 200 YTT for five years and as a Lead Trainer past two years. Sara McNeil is our Master Philosophy trainer and leads students through subtle body, sutras, and other readings and teachings that are the cornerstone of yogic philosophy.

Curriculum
Techniques Training/Practice……………….75 contact hours
Includes asanas, pranayama, subtle body, and meditation.
Professional Essentials…………………………………….50 contact hours
Includes principles of demonstration, observation, assisting, instruction, (formerly teaching methodologies) teaching styles, qualities of a teacher, the student’s process of learning and business aspects of teaching yoga.
Anatomy and Physiology…………………………30 contact hours
Includes both human physical anatomy and physiology (bodily systems, organs, etc.). Practical and experiential, including biomechanics. Includes both the study benefits, contraindications, healthy movement patterns, etc
Yoga Humanities…………30 hours
Includes the history of yoga, centering on hatha yoga, study of yoga philosophies, yoga lifestyle and ethics for yoga teachers.
Practicum (Professional Essentials)……………………………10 contact hours
Includes practice teaching, receiving feedback, observing others teaching and hearing and giving feedback. Also includes assisting students while someone else is teaching.
Elective Hours………………………..12 contact hours
