Thai Yoga Therapy is an eastern form of bodywork therapy that incorporates passive assisted yoga stretches, acupressure, and chakra energy balancing to restore and renew mind and body. All major joints are moved through range of motion to increase flexibility. Acupressure points/energy lines are stimulated, while muscles are deeply stretched, to decrease pain and tension patterns and re establish neuromuscular and energy balance. Thai Yoga Therapy is especially effective for those who particiapte in sports activities such as cycling, running, or other team sports as well as individuals with chronic low back and hip pain. Thai Yoga Therapy may be done on a table or padded futon style mat or table and uses no oils, cremes or lotions. Clients are fully dressed in loose comfortable clothing suitable for stretching and gentle movement.
