A few tips for beginners:
The practice of yoga will not only change your body, it will change your life. You will learn knew ways to strengthen your mental focus, to practice creating emotional and physical balance, and live more mindfully in each and every moment. So don’t wait. Now is the time to begin. Most of our classes are suitable for beginners but we recommend hatha yoga or gentle yoga to start. If you have health related issues you may want to start with a private yoga therapy session first.
Get your practice off to a great start. If you have not visited us before please check out how to purchase a class pass for new students unlimited $25/10 day pass here . It’s a great way for new students to Yoga East to get to know our studio, classes and teachers. You may purchase a pass online using the form at the bottom of the page or you may pay at the studio before class. We accept cash, checks and most major credit cards.
Our class sizes are limited, so if you want to resevere your space you may want to sign up ahead of time and let us know you plan on coming. Please come a few minutes early for your very first class. Let your instructor know if you have any medical conditions, injuries or are pregnant.
The studio doors will be open fifteen minutes before each class and closed five minutes after class starts. Parking is available in the lot behind the Howards’s building.
We provide mats, props, and changing rooms. We also sell quality eco friendly yoga mats and props in our Sereni T- Shoppe for those who prefer to purchase their own props. Please turn off all electronic devices while you are here unless you are an on-call provider and enjoy the digital detox, it’s priceless.
