Lead Trainer Sue Greenwood, MS, E-RYT 500, IAYT.
I am so excited to be a part of the Yoga East Community as both a teacher and student. Working with Judy gives me both ground and freedom to be the best teacher and student I can be. I feel that our differences in style and focus make us “two sides of the same coin.” Please read the program information and requirements as well as our Bios.
The old yoga saying is alive and well today, “When the student is ready the teacher will appear, and when the teacher is ready the student will appear.” I’m not sure who said this but I fully believe in it and know we are all where we are suppose to be and doing what we need to be doing! You are attracted to this program for a reason-Explore it!
In this program you will be largely in charge of your own long term and short term goals, learning objectives, and Judy and I will help with materials and interventions. I’d like to think there was much didactic learning in your 200 hour program, and now it will be your turn to tell us what you know! Through coursework, materials, instruction, and assignments I want to see you all grow, mature, and become the best versions of yourselves.
There will be both subtle and structural/functional anatomy, posture assessments, indications and contraindications for specific issues as well as work in communication, thought processing, and yoga history and foundations. You will delve into the business of yoga, ethics, class content, and postures. This is a well-rounded curriculum and you will get out of it what you put in.
A comprehensive bound workbook will be created by you that has both your hard work and hope and dreams inside. I want you to feel stretched and challenged in ways you can’t yet imagine as you find your interests and specialties in your blessed yoga heart.
If we haven’t yet met, I would encourage you to read my blog samadhimama@blogspot, find me on Twitter @suegreenwood10, Google “Sue Greenwood Yoga”, and most of all attend a class with me or one of the open houses upcoming. I will discuss any concerns or questions you may have.
I am so happy you are considering this program!
